Kit Hawkins (he/they) is an intern completing their degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. As a queer and neurodivergent individual himself, he is passionate about working with marginalized populations and takes a Rogerian approach, viewing clients as the experts of their own lives and experiences. Combining this approach with various interventions, Kit hopes to empower clients to increase value-based decisions and individual well-being over time. They believe it is important to incorporate an understanding of minority stress and decolonization into the therapeutic practice. Kit employs integrative therapy, utilizing many different modalities, including DBT, Somatic Therapy, and CBT informed-therapy, while keeping a heavy emphasis on multiculturalism and meeting clients where they are.

Kit is currently scheduling weekly and biweekly appointments closely supervised by a Licensed Clinician. To schedule directly with Kit for $35 sessions please email admin@amarylliscounseling.org
