CJ received her B.A. in Psychology and her M.Ed./Ed.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University. She is a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in South Carolina. CJ has worked in multiple college counseling centers in the Upstate, and truly enjoys working with those figuring out “adulting” for the first time.

CJ takes an integrative approach to counseling, incorporating aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy, reality therapy, acceptance-and-commitment therapy, and cognitive processing therapy together in her work with clients. CJ strives to develop a supportive counseling relationship and challenge her clients to achieve their counseling goals.

When she’s not in “counselor mode,” CJ enjoys dancing, spoiling her cat, Stash, and singing loudly in the car. To those considering counseling, CJ offers this quote by Sarah J. Maas: “Revealing my vulnerabilities doesn’t make me weak, and voicing my fears doesn’t make me a coward. It makes me human.”
