Hi, I’m Camden! I graduated from Western Carolina University with my bachelor’s degree in 2022 and later earned my Master of Social Work from Western with a specialization in Integrated Health. My education shaped my interest in how our mental health, bodies, relationships, and environments are connected. My clinical experience has primarily been with children, adolescents, and families navigating complex mental health needs, trauma, neurodivergence, emotional regulation, and relationship and attachment challenges. These experiences continue to shape my person-centered, relational, trauma-informed approach to therapy, with an appreciation for the ways our minds and bodies communicate and respond to the world around us.
I believe people make sense in context. I want to understand who you are, what you’ve experienced, what matters to you, and what you hope to get from our time together, not decide what any of those things should look like. I have a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ youth and adults while welcoming people and families across the lifespan. Bring your interests, niche knowledge, favorite characters, the music you have on repeat, or the thing you could talk about for three hours. I genuinely enjoy learning from my clients and believe the things that bring you joy and make you you belong in the therapy room just as much as the hard stuff does. I’ll bring curiosity, honesty, humor when it fits, and a willingness to sit with the things that don’t have easy answers. You don’t have to have it all figured out before you get here, so we can start wherever you are.
Outside of therapy, I’m usually trying a new restaurant, reading, finding my way to just about any form of water, or taking my dogs on adventures up and down the East Coast. I love learning and trying new things, and coffee and music are pretty reliable constants in my life!
